With a very personable voice, Gary portrays the unique struggle with addiction and how Jesus changes us from the inside out. We are rescued from the very first day we cry out to Jesus but freedom is a lifetime process.
Mr. Morland shares an intimate look at his addiction and how he was delivered from its grip. I am about to embark on his book Scary Hope next.
Excellent insight into the mind of the addict & the world they (each of us to some extent) live in. Good introduction to the concept of exchanging our life for Christ's and how that is lived out. Highly recommend.
Not what I expected
This book will change the way your think about a lot of things, and it will make you reconsider before you judge anyone based on what you "see"with your eyes.
I read this book and then I read it again. This book is for anyone who has dealt with any type of addiction or has a loved one that is trapped by addiction. Morland's words gave me hope and inspired me to be the person I want to be, but though guilt and shame was too scared to be. An amazing true story that has changed the way I look at addiction.
What a great book! It is so relatable to the struggles we all face and makes you think of the legacy you will leave to those behind you. I like Mr. Morland's style of writing it's not presumptuous,but makes you feel as if it's a story you could have written yourself.
